Tournament
fishing is hard enough without something going wrong while you are
trying to put together that winning limit. Below is my pre tourney
checklist . If you follow these steps you should be better prepared the
next time you are on the water and on the clock!

My
name is Captain Josh Fitchett. I am U S Coast Guard certified . As a
tidal water catfish guide we target monster blues on the James and
Potomac Rivers. in Virginia. My favorite technique is fishing deepwater
ledges and structure in the fall and winter. The other technique I use
in the pre and post spawn is fishing shallow flats and trees. Fishing
tidal water is a little different because we are forced to fish 10-14
oz. sinkers because of the tides. Fishing tidal water may require you
to fish structure different because of the direction of the tide.
