My name is Captain Josh Fitchett. I am U S Coast Guard certified . As a tidal water catfish guide we target monster blues on the James and Potomac Rivers. in Virginia. My favorite technique is fishing deepwater ledges and structure in the fall and winter. The other technique I use in the pre and post spawn is fishing shallow flats and trees. Fishing tidal water is a little different because we are forced to fish 10-14 oz. sinkers because of the tides. Fishing tidal water may require you to fish structure different because of the direction of the tide.

I am a licensed professional freshwater fishing guide who has a passion for catching catfish on North Texas Lakes, specifically Lake Lewisville and Grapevine. With over 30 years of fishing experience, I am able to locate and catch catfish using a variety of techniques and baits. I provide custom-designed catfish fishing trips to anglers of all experience levels and ages. I will work with my clients to design a guided catfishing trip to either help them learn how to locate and catch catfish, or we can just go out and catch a cooler full of eating size blue cats or channel cats for a fish fry. I practice and encourage the release of all catfish over 10 lbs. I have reached a point in my life where I enjoy helping and teaching others how to catch catfish more than catching them myself. There is nothing more fulfilling than the smile on the face of a child catching his or her first fish or even adults catching the biggest fish of their life. I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little bit about me, and I hope to fish with you soon.

Thank you,
Bobby Kubin
